In the beginning...
Scholars and theologians alike now recognize that the biblical tales of Creation, of Adam and Eve, the Garden of Eden, the Deluge, the Tower of Babel, were based on texts written down millennia earlier in Mesopotamia, primarily by the Sumerians. Moreover, they, in turn, explicitly stated that they obtained their knowledge of past events-many from a time before civilizations began, even before Mankind came to be from the writings of the Anunnaki ("Those Who from Heaven to Earth Came")-the "gods" of antiquity.
Cosmogony is any model concerning the origin of either the cosmos or universe.
Epistemology is the branch of philosophy concerned with the theory of knowledge.
Epistemology studies the nature of knowledge, justification, and the rationality of belief. Much of the debate in epistemology centers on four areas: (1) the philosophical analysis of the nature of knowledge and how it relates to such concepts as truth, belief, and justification, (2) various problems of skepticism, (3) the sources and scope of knowledge and justified belief, and (4) the criteria for knowledge and justification. Epistemology addresses such questions as "What makes justified beliefs justified?", "What does it mean to say that we know something?" and fundamentally "How do we know that we know?"

AWARENESS
~ Alan Watts - "The universe is a system which is aware of itself."
"We—as living organisms—are forms of the energy of the universe just as much as the stars and the galaxies, and through our sense organs this system of energy becomes aware of itself."
